A evil sort of claustrophobic hollow winterstormy wind heard from inside some sort of. . . Building or shed. . Pitch up and down for variations , you get different moods. It says its 64kbps 44100khz. . . Its actually a vbr using all the kbps necessary for it to have a non mp3 garbly sound.

I just pitch up my voice where it's at a comfortable level and not at the highest peak in pitch. I slowly ease into the vocal sound to avoid any vocal damage. While i'm easing in there's a very quiet high pitch whistle coming from the back of my throat, too quiet for the microphone. Sometimes while recording i do get a squeak and a crackle sound that gets picked up, but none of that here.

This is the new talking traffic signal in town. I got the idea to speed it up from listening to some radio commercials where the person talks a mile a minute to cram as many words into the commercial as possible. They really are damned annoying when they do it, but i get a laugh out of my version. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak with one track duplication and edited in sony vegas. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

Electrosaurus wrecks just wants to party, so go ahead. . . Just make sure he doesn't lick up all the dip. I know he loves that. And he might knock down the disco ball. Or stomp the stage flat. You get it. This was made using soundtrap. Have a nice day and feel free to use this however you like!.

I get this call from my daughter's elementary school, first week of school and already a cyber attack, messing up the entire school's computer systems. It is indeed a sad world where not even grade school kids are safe from these cyber pirates. So i tweaked the recording a bit, added panned out echo and noise reductio. Enjoy!.

A peculiar local brand of fruit juice sold in small plastic bags with a straw will sometimes vibrate violently when sipped, producing this deep groaning sound. I've yet to discover what exactly causes this to happen. When trying to record it i experimented with straw positioning, sipping strength, holding angle of the pack, and couldn't get it to consistently rumble. This may be a marketing conspiracy to get audio people to stock up on juice to master how to perform the packaging. Recorded with sony pcm-d100, edited and denoised in izotope rx 7.

Plane- it’s difficult to get good recordings of planes taking off these days. There’s always major streets or highways close by which results in a bunch of unwanted traffic noise. It’s difficult to find a good vantage point to set up because there’s hardly any public parking with unobstructed sight lines (or in my case hearing lines) to the planes. Plus, with all the extra security measures in place these days, how suspicious would i look setting up a laptop andsome cables and some other electronic equipment in the general area of the runway?but i managed to get this recording. It’s not spectacular, but it’s ok. There’s some worker truck at the end of it which gets in the way, but doesn’t ruin it. I recorded my dog lying next to me, relaxing and yawning a few times. Recorded with a sony ic recorder, cleaned up using edison in fl studio. I had the recorder very close to his mouth and i also used a limiter to increase the volume. However, i couldn't get rid of the background noise without making the breathing sound awful.

I saw this huge storm brewing, so i put my laptop next to an open window, thinking that i might record a nice atmospheric recording of rain and light thunder, and i caught this thing, no more than 500m away. I had the sensitivity turned all the way up, and the microphone i am using isn't the best, but someone might get a use of it :).

Clattering about in the kitchen drawer to get spoons out. Getting a bowl out. Shaking a carton of soup up, ripping the top off and pouring it into a bowl. Tapping the carton to get the rest out and then throwing it into the pedal bin. Opening the microwave door, putting the bowl of soup in, tapping out the numbers and then turning the microwave on. Beeps at 1:50 to signal the end then open the door again. Natural kitchen ambience. Wav 24bit 44. 1khz.

This was recorded inside the blue mosque in istanbul during friday prayer in may 2005. To get in to the blue mosque with recording equipment we had to get a permission from the religious authorities. We also needed a muslim to operate the equipment since the friday prayers were forbidden for non-muslims. We set up the recording equipment and let our turkish guide hit the record button once the prayer started. The sound is recorded using an m/s rig straight to dat and processed afterwards with a hp filter in protools to remove microphone rumble. Recorded by asbjørn blokkum flø, kjetil bjørgan and the anonymous guide.

10am sunday in the middle of the lockdown for corona virus, covid19. Recorder left in garden then edited down to remove most of dog barking at neighbours, the few cars that passed and distant conversation that might otherwise ruin the purpose of recording just the bird song. Not the best example of bird song for which i will have to get up at dawn.

Well, the closest i could get, anyway. Technically, it's a banana. One sudden peel, truncated, modified and reversed in various ways until it sounded (to me) like it could vaguely represent the sound of sewing. . . . Not that sewing by hand actually makes much of a sound. Recorded for the point-and-click adventure game, "the beard in the mirror": http://store. Steampowered. This is a (mediocre) recording of gym lights being powered on. There is the distinct hum of the transformer/capacitor or whatever helps power them running in the background and then a distinctive click and electronic thud as the lights come on followed by the buzz of the overhead lights as they are warming up. Mp3 and wav files available. It's a pretty distinctive noise and i will try to get a better recording of it next time.

Found a big bush covered in white flowers with loads of bees buzzing all over it. Some good buzz noises here but unfortunately quite a bit of mic handling noise and the sound of the leaves brushing against the mic as i pushed it in close to try and stir up the bees a bit. I used one of those blank plastic cds that you sometimes get when you buy cd holders. I broke it up into many pieces and dropped them multiple times adding on the ending to make it sound like the leftover pieces bounce. Sorry about the backround noises, recorded on a laptop with the fan running and a tv in the backround. Came out pretty good though. I was satisfied in the end though.

This is a foley recording i did for a cinematic nature documentary. In the scene you see lions pulling the guts out of a recently killed bison. As the sound assistant didn't want to get too close, i simulated the sound by mushing up a plate of lasagne in front of a pair of rode nt5's. Very suitable for zombie movies - have fun! :).

A recording i made in may of 2013 as i was trying to get a good recording of the wonderful wood thrush recorded. You can still faintly hear the wood thrush in the background, but the nice surprise on this recording is the very clear, bubbling, trilling call of a proud little chipping sparrow. This recording was carefully made using my homemade parabolic reflector microphone. (*using my trusty rode ntg-2), and going into my handy zoom h4n recorder. I wanted to get as accurate a recording as possible so i bumped up the bit rate to 96 kpbs. I know it makes for a larger file, but i think it is worth it.

Perfect song for something intense, or a great suspence, like the beginning of a nascar race. . . Or maybe walking into a mcdonalds to let them know they got your order wrong. . . Like seriously, mcdonalds needs to step up their a-game, they cant even get an order of fries right. . . And not to sound so harsh and all but the people who work there really just dont give a damn. . . Wendys is better,.

This is penny, a 7 year old female black and white cat who was being very affectionate. Recorded her in the bathroom purring and rubbing on the mic. 50 second in, i put the mic up to her chest while purring. Then at 1 and a half mins, i recorded her drinking water out of the sink. Hopefully someone finds good use for her sounds. I can always get more, and her brother as well.

I tried to get a surround recording using mics, but there was a horrible street musician playing off in the distance. I thought it wouldn't be clear in the recording, but one of the mics picked him up quite well. The recording was ruined, so i did a little processing at home and came up with this freaky bit for your listening pleasure. Not sure if it's usable beyond listening, tho. . .

My grandma recently gifted me a music box that was given to her by her mother, but it unfortunately doesn't work right anymore. It starts and stops unnaturally and can't make a loop, it requires constantly turning the wind-up mechanism to continue playing. This is the 1st of 2 recordings of me trying to get it to play.

A semi-rare and priceless recording (at least to me) of a whippoorwill; a bird who, unfortunately, is declining in many areas of the country. This recording contains more hiss than many of my existing nature recordings, but i still want to post it so you can get sample of this wonderful signature sound of summer woods at dusk. Recording made in the shawnee national forest in late may of 2010 using my zoom h4n recorder. I used an audio technica at8035. I was trying out this microphone. This particular microphone does have a narrow acceptance angle, which is probably 1 reason for the hissiness. Still, go out in the summer woods around dusk sometime and maybe you will get lucky and hear this beautiful little bird whose distinctive calls have livened up the woods for generations of many youngsters – including me!.

A heartbeat sound i created. Fairly consistent through most of it, and then speeds up into heart-attack mode about 30 seconds from the end. To make it, i took a kick-drum sample and a snare-drum sample, and made a pattern of kick-snare, kick-snare, kick-snare, over and over. I then eq'd them to be less distinct and drum-like, added tape saturation to increase the low-end thumping, a small chorus effect and some compression to get rid of the drums' attack. . . Basically just over-processed the hell out of it. Then i used a plugin called wok m-st to get a fake hard-panned stereo effect. My goal was to make it sound like your heartbeat sounds in your ears when you've been running too fast for too long. I think it sounds cool.

This was recorded by holding a small pcm recorder (zoom h1n) very close to an ipod 4th generation. The ipod was turned on and its hard drive tried to start up. You can hear the spin up of the motor and the hard drive head clicking back and forth. The hard drive fails to power up completely and eventually shuts down again. A 350 hz high pass filter was applied, in addition to audacity noise reduction, to get this clean motor noise from the original recording. The stereo file was then mixed to mono because the mic was slightly off center from the ipod, and the stereo provides no benefit. The hard drive in this ipod is a 1. 8" 40 gb toshiba hard drive, the ipod model is a1059. The microphone was held just 3 cm (1. 2 in) from the ipod. Recording settings were stereo 44. 1 khz at 16 bit (wav format). The file is the same except it's mono.

An sennheiserme66 and me67 on opposite channels, i don't remember which was which(sorry). . But i could tell no real difference during recording (samecapsule, different tube). The mics were near coincident next to canarycage, though shure fp24 and tascam hdp1. Original at 24 bit 96k, down converted to 16 bit 48k. It took allot of intimidation to get the stinking birds to sing. . I threatened violence, finally when alanis morsette played, they gave it up. Otherwise birds would have died (though that may have been an interesting recording too). .

I needed a sound effect for an audio project, specifically the sound of someone moving around in a bathtub full of water and ice. Being too lazy to go out and get a carpload of ice cubes, i raided the ice-maker in the refrigerator and built up a stockpile, then dumped them all into the metal kitchen sink, added some water and a few empty ice cube trays for flavor, and stirred them about using a glass mixing bowl and a wooden spoon.

This is the sound my computer's fan made, recorded with my laptop. Apparently, this fan is crapping out and goes haywire after less than ten minutes. I will have to get a new one, but the sound may be useful for people who need examples of a loud, broken pc fan. Again, recorded with laptop, not best quality. This is a sound in the creative commons, and i am giving up my rights to this sound as it is a sound every pc makes, and it's intended use is to allow everyone an example of a broken pc fan.
